Rotterdam city center during COVID-19 (Corona) crisis

As the world is facing the COVID-19 (Corona) crisis the world has changed dramatically in a short time. Cities are locked down. People stay at home and have to held a distance of 1,5 or 2 meters between them. Busy cities turn into ghost towns. This series is shot in the Rotterdam city center during the Corona crisis, on a Saturday afternoon from 12 am to 2 pm. Normally one of the busiest moments of the week, with the market, people shopping and lots of tourists. Now there is hardly anybody in the streets.

Normally one of the busiest places in the city with the market!

No travel or holiday for us this winter, so these photos are all shot in Rotterdam this winter.

Berlin October 2019

In October 2019 I was in Berlin again for a few days, during the Festival of Lights. This spectacular festival is held in Berlin in October every year. During my visit I also had te opportunity to take some street photo of the people in Berlin. All photos were taken at the the "Friedrichstrasse".

This summer I visited Athens. Actually it as on Friday July 19, the day Athens was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 around 2.15 pm. Luckily there was little damage and no injuries or casualties and a few hours later ordinary life went on as if nothing had happened.
